On our road to COP27 we participated at Africa Climate Week 2022 celebrated in Libreville (Gabon) with the co-organization of the event Capacity Building for Youth Climate Action and Entrepreneurial Leadership in Africa together with African UNFCCC regional centers.
On our road to COP27 we are participating at Africa Climate Week happening in Libreville (Gabon) with an event on Youth Climate Action and Entrepreneurial Leadership in Africa, as well as supporting the special participation during the week of an exceptional young climate leader from Niger: Zeinabou Maman Noura.
As a culmination of the course “Climate leadership: From commitments to actions”, led by UNU as part of the Impulsouth project, 23 young climate action professionals from Madagascar, Niger, Uganda and Zambia presented their proposals of climate solutions on Friday the 12th of August on a virtual event.
El pasado 20 de julio durante la semana regional del clima en América Latina y el Caribe, Impulsouth tuvo el placer de co-organizar una conversación en profundidad sobre el rol y el fortalecimiento de capacidades de jóvenes líderes en acción climática.
Concluido el curso de Impulsouth, nos congratula anunciar las cuatro propuestas de soluciones climáticas que han sido seleccionadas para implementarse en el laboratorio de soluciones de Impulsouth. Se trata de propuestas lideradas por dos jóvenes de Guatemala (Rocío Silva y María José Pérez de León) y dos jóvenes de República Dominicana (Corayma De Dios Estrella y Caterina Vetrugno).
Como colofón tras seis meses de formación en liderazgo climático, ocho jóvenes profesionales del ámbito de la acción climática en Guatemala y República Dominicana presentaron sus propuestas de soluciones climáticas en un evento virtual abierto al público.
